Permanent Vinyl Decal Application Instructions
Decide the location of where you want to apply your decal. Make sure the location is a smooth, nonporous surface.
Clean the area, preferably with 70% Isopropyl Alcohol. Let air dry
Use a squeegee or credit card and run across the top of the transfer tape on your decal. This helps the decal adhere to the transfer tape during removal.
There are multiple methods to this next step but we will give you what works best for us. In order to get your decal even on the area your applying it, first measure the total length of the area your placing it and mark the center with tape. Next, Fold the decal in half, and put a slight crease to get your center. (Don't worry the crease will be gone once you apply it).
Starting at a corner of the decal and start removing the transfer tape from the backing. While removing make sure the decal is adhering to the transfer tape. If it isn't lay the transfer tape back down over the area not sticking and rub firmly a few times. Then begin to remove again. If this still doesn't work try turning the decal over and remove the backing rather than removing the transfer tape. This method tends to work well.
Once you remove the transfer tape and decal from the backing make sure you can still see the crease in the transfer tape. Then place the center of your decal (crease) at the point of where you placed the tape on your measurement.
Slowly rub the decal down from the center out with your hand.
Take your squeegee or credit card and run across the transfer tape that's still attached to your decal on the desired location.
Grab the transfer tape from the corner and begin to pull the transfer tape at an angle while applying moderate pressure. If the decal starts to come up with the transfer tape immediately stop and lay that area back down and rub over that area firmly a few times. Then continue to remove the transfer tape until completely removed.
If there are any air bubbles left under your decal don't worry. The heat from the sun will dissipate them over the next few days to a week.
Please wait at least 48 hours before washing your vehicle to ensure decal is fully adhered to the surface.
**If you use any ceramic cleaning products, ex. car wash soap, wax, detailing spray, or window cleaner this must be removed completely before applying your decal. The coating these products make will not allow the decal to adhere. Once applied and complete adhered you can reapply these products**
